
Since this site is centered around flying with family, what better way to celebrate the dad in your family than by taking to the skies! You were probably going to anyway, right? Stop by one of these Father’s Day Fly-in events for food and fun. Listed in alphabetical order by state. **All events take place on Sunday June 20th, unless otherwise noted in the details.**

California
Redding (O85) 2042 ft. asphalt runway. This family friendly community event runs from 8 am to 3 pm, with a pancake breakfast followed by a BBQ lunch. There’s a vintage car show, aircraft displays, and aerial performers by CalFire and the US Forest Service. $5 per person, all proceeds go to aviation scholarships.
Colorado
Watkins (KCFO) Two 8000 ft. asphalt runways. This breakfast runs from 7 to 11 am and accepts donations. They are offering fuel discounts on the ramp during these hours for both 100 and Jet.
IDAHO
Garden Valley (U88) 3850 ft. turf runway. The Jerry Terlisner Memorial pancake breakfasts runs from 8 to 1030 am. The night prior they are hosting a potluck BBQ campout going by 5 pm. Price for the breakfast is $10 per person or $25 for a family of any size with kids under 16.
ILLINOIS
Geneseo (3G8) 2568 ft. turf runway. The Gen Airpark hosts an annual pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am. $7 for adults and $4 for children.
IOWA
Harlan (KHNR) 4100 ft. concrete runway & 1,712 turf runway. The 8 Ball Aviation Flying Club hosts it’s 75th annual flight breakfast from 7 to 11 am. Free to all fly ins, otherwise $7 per adult, and $3 for kids under 10.
MICHIGAN
White Cloud (42C) 2916 ft. asphalt runway. The city hosts a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am. Adults $8, kids 6-12 are $4, and kids under 5 are free.
MINNESOTA
Crystal (KMIC) 4751 ft. & 2500 ft. asphalt, & 1669 ft. turf runways. The airport hosts a breakfast from 8 am to 12, and lunch to 3 pm. There will be children’s activities, and fire & police displays. Breakfast is $8 per person with kids 3 and younger free. Lunch is $5.
MISSOURI
Chillicothe 2500 ft. 01/19 turf runway. This farm opens up it’s land and private strip for their 2nd Annual Fly & Drive In Event called “Bobkosh” just west of Chillicothe. This fun event takes place over the entire weekend from June 18 -20th. There will be camping, fishing, and skeet shooting (bring your own skeet and shooting supplies). On Saturday they will have an aircraft poker run, bomb drop contest, and other aircraft games. At night a live rock band from 8 pm to midnight. The event continues into Sunday. Restrooms on grounds, firewood available, and a car to run for quick supplies if needed. Please see more details on this event in the comments section below. Street address is 11788 LIV 519.
Nebraska
Hastings (KHSI) 6451 ft. & 4501 ft. concrete runways. The Nebraska State Fly In and Air Show is held over Father’s Day weekend. The main events are on Sunday, starting with a pancake breakfast from 7am to 2pm. There will also be food vendors from 10:30 to 1:30. Throughout the morning and into the afternoon there will be a car show, aircraft displays, kids exhibits, seminars, and a substantial airshow starting at noon. Admission is a free will donation.
OHIO
Beach City (2D7) 3175 ft. turf runway. The airport’s pilot association hosts the 36th annual Father’s Day Fly-in pancake breakfast from 8 am to 1 pm.
OKLAHOMA
Haskell (2K9) 3710 ft. asphalt runway. The local EAA chapter will be hosting a pancake breakfast to celebrate Father’s Day the day prior on Saturday June 19, from 8 am to 11 am.
PENNSYLVANIA
Bethel (8N1) 2720 ft. turf runway. The Golden Age Air Museum hosts “Biplanes, Bands, and Cruise-Ins” for 3 days starting the Friday of Father’s Day weekend. Among the vendors, they will have Friday night karaoke, bands all day on Saturday, and a formal aircraft presentation on Sunday. They invite you to camp out for the weekend. Fly ins are free admission, they accept tax deductible donations online.
Somerset (2G9) 5002 ft. asphalt & 2729 ft. turf runways. The pancake breakfast runs from 8 am to 12 pm and the chicken BBQ from 12 to 3 pm. There will be custom antique cars and bikes, door prizes, and a DJ. $8 for adults, $4 for kids 4-10, and free for 3 and under.
WASHINGTON
Tonasket (W01) 3053 ft. asphalt runway. This 31st annual Father’s Day fly in starts Saturday night with a steak feed, flour bomb drops and a spot landing contest. Sunday morning there’s a breakfast followed by a hamburger lunch. They invite you to camp.
WISCONSIN
Palmyra (88C) 2800 ft. turf runway. The 71st annual father’s day fly in starts with a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 12 pm. There will be various vendors and an antique car show. This year they are also partnering with the county to provide the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine during the event. Breakfast will be $8 for adults and $4 for kids under 12.
Waupaca (KPCZ) 5200 ft. & 3899 ft. asphalt runways. Hosted by the local Lion’s Club, they will serve a pancake breakfast from 7 am to 12 pm. There will be raffle prizes as well!

June 18, 19 & 20 Fathers Day Weekend
Bring the family for a weekend of fun!! Aircraft event games and rides,
Camping, fishing, UTV & ATV riding (bring your own), skeet shooting (bring own clay pigeons or blue rock, shotguns and ammo), volleyball, horseshoes, washers etc. Friday will be set up day anytime, fly-In or Drive-In or both anytime that day as we will be fishing, ATV riding, playing games, socializing and more. Saturday will be an aircraft poker run from 9am-12 noon, Bomb drop contest in the afternoon and maybe even a stop landing contest late afternoon. Saturday night we have a live rock and roll band (Point Of No Return) playing from 8pm- midnight. Sunday will be more fun and games, fishing, ATV riding, skeet shooting etc. Restrooms on grounds, firewood for fire pits available, vehicle available if someone is flying in and needs to go after supplies, if bringing a camper u may set up anytime that week if needed but please bring your generators as we won’t have electrical hookups, local motels available if not a tent or camper enthusiast. Bring your camping supplies, tents, lawn chairs, BUG SPRAY and have a unforgettable fun weekend with us. Lots of aircraft and camper parking.
